This feature is available for:

➤ How to record screen & sound of other applications:

It is easy to record screen & sound of other applications by Display Recorder. Please do the following steps:

  1. Launch Display Recorder.
  2. Press "Record" button (round red button) on the Record screen. Video & audio of your device will be recorded from now.
  3. Switch to the application you want to record. (Press Home and launch that application or Double-press Home and switch to it)
  4. Do anything on that application until you want to stop recording.
  5. Switch to Display Recorder. (Press Home and tap on Display Recorder icon in screen or Double-press Home and switch to Display Recorder)
  6. Press "Stop" button (square black button) on the Record screen. Wait a moment for merging audio & video. The recorded video clip will appear on the "Recorded Items" list soon.

(*) Important Note:

  1. Audio record may be dropped while recording if you run any application that uses system sound. In this cases, audio will be ignore (Display Recorder will inform you), your recorded video will be "Video only".
  2. If you record application that uses OpenGLES, please switch "Capture Method" to "Screen Capture" (Open Settings screen, in the "Video Settings" section, change "Capture Method" to "Screen Capture"). If you keep "Capture Method" as "Direct Access", the video may be black screen. Note: "Direct Access" is faster than "Screen Capture".



➤ How to record video only:

Change "Record Type" to "Video Only" to record video only:

  1. Open Settings screen.
  2. On the "Record Settings" section, change "Record Type" to "Video Only".



➤ How to record audio only:

Change "Record Type" to "Audio Only" to record audio only:

  1. Open Settings screen.
  2. On the "Record Settings" section, change "Record Type" to "Audio Only".



➤ Remove Red-Bar on the screen while recording:

Red-Bar indicates that audio recording is running, to remove the Red-Bar, change record type to "Video Only":

  1. Open Settings screen.
  2. On the "Record Settings" section, change "Record Type" to "Video Only".



➤ Resolve "Black video when record some apps" problem:

If you record any application that uses OpenGLES, the video may be black. Please do the following steps to resolve the problem:

  1. Open Settings screen of Screen Recorder.
  2. In the "Video Settings" section, change "Capture Method" to "Screen Capture".
  3. Note: "Direct Access" method is faster than "Screen Capture" method.



➤ Change record video orientation:

You can change record orientation to match with destination application:

  1. Open Settings screen of Screen Recorder.
  2. On the "Video Settings" section, tap on "Video Orientation".
  3. There are 5 options for "Video Orientation":
    +) Auto: Your record video orientation will be Display Recorder's orientation at the time you tap on Record button.
    +) Landscape: Your record video orientation will be Landscape.
    +) Landscape Upside Down: Your record video orientation will be Landscape with the upside down.
    +) Portrait: Your record video orientation will be Portrait.
    +) Portrait Upside Down: Your record video orientation will be Portrait with the upside down.
    (*) Default orientation setting is Auto.

Please check the destination application's orientation to adjust capture orientation before recording.



➤ Share the recorded Video:

Display Recorder supports sharing your recorded video to YouTube. Please do the following steps to upload video to Youtube:

  1. Select desired video item on "Recorded Items" list.
  2. Tap on the "Action" button and choose "Upload to Youtube".
  3. On the "Upload to Youtube" screen, fill all neccessary information and tap on "Upload" bar button.



➤ Access recorded video:

Export recorded video to Photo Library:

  1. Select desired video item on "Recorded Items" list.
  2. Tap on the "Action" button and choose "Export to Photo Library".
  3. Wait until Export action finished.

Copy recorded items to your computer:

  1. Connect your device to computer using USB cable.
  2. Open iTunes on your computer.
  3. On the "DEVICES" section of iTunes, choose your device.
  4. On the top bar of iTunes choose "Apps".
  5. Scroll down iTunes until you can see the "Display Rec." application in "Apps" section.
  6. Tap on "Display Rec." icon, you will see all your recorded items.
  7. Select desired items and choose "Save to..." button (or drag & drop) to copy them to computer.
